Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling:
- Transport raw corrugated sheets and finished products within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, including flatbeds and dry vans.
- Pull corrugated sheet bundles to supply production machines and assembly areas.
- Production Support:
- Work closely with coworkers and supervisors to complete daily assigned tasks efficiently.
- Ensure proper handling, placement, and movement of materials to maintain a steady production flow.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Verify the correct product is loaded in the correct work area to prevent errors.
- Workplace Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
- Safety Compliance & Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine forklift inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience:
- 1 years of experience operating a propane-powered sit-down industrial forklift (Required).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with coworkers and supervisors.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, unit conversions, and measurements for accurate inventory and production calculations.
- Work Environment:
- Comfortable working in noisy environments and varying conditions.
- Scheduling:
- Flexibility to work weekends and extended shifts as needed.
- Reliability:
- Strong attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining production schedules.
