You’ll collaborate with R&D lab team members and project engineers, taking ownership of safe test execution, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance support that helps us operate in a more efficient and dependable way.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely operate test platforms (including gas cycle test rigs and chiller systems) and follow established test procedures
- Execute basic compressor-related tests, generate test data, and verify required test conditions are met
- Communicate test progress, issues, and observations with lab teammates and project engineers
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve test or equipment issues during execution
- Complete directed basic maintenance activities (e.g., leak checks, sensor calibration) and update maintenance documentation per department procedures
- Active EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
- Meets DTC Test Technician 01 education and experience requirements
- Detailed knowledge of refrigeration cycle fundamentals and hands-on understanding of HVAC/chiller operation
- Ability to operate external measuring equipment (e.g., meters, data acquisition/DAQ equipment) and work with test data confidently
- Ability to complete required safety/environmental training and work safely in a hands-on lab environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
