Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Label, palletize and weigh products to maintain inventory in the warehouse and to pull/fill orders for assembly accurately and on time
- Provide material handling services for production plant.
- Determine products and location in order to count and pull the correct amount of product to accurately fill orders
- Quickly read and understand shop orders and ascertain part numbers and quantities needed per each package
- Accurately package and label each carton/package
- Retrieve/pull product from bins or shelves either manually or using various types of mechanized material handling equipment
- Perform minimal preventive maintenance activities
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
- One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment for warehouse facility
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must be local-no relocation offered
- Ability to operate a forklift safely is required. Safety record will be considered when selecting employees for Material Handler positions.
- Attendance, rarely absent or late, pre-schedules and pre-approves absences
- Safety: Follows safety and housekeeping standards and procedures, uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), looks after the safety of others.
- Repetitive bending and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work well as a team member
- Forklift experience - Stand-up/Sit-down forklift preferred
- Ability to use banding tooling for securing material pallets prior to storage or shipping
