The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing for the Marketing Department.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Implement a comprehensive marketing and fundraising strategy for all DCAC annual campaigns and events. Oversee efforts to strengthen and align the brand of DCAC to enhance awareness, support consistent revenue growth, and educate the community about the mission of the agency. Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer and the Director of Advancement to attract a larger prospective donor base to ensure that the private contribution goal is fulfilled.
ABOUT DCAC: The mission of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues. DCAC is a non-profit organization and the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute, and provide healing services for child abuse
cases in Dallas County. We reduce the victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with our distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases, all at no cost to our clients. Each year, DCAC serves over 13,000 children and their non-offending family members.

Staff Supervision: Marketing Specialist and the Projects and Events Specialist
Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities
Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in marketing, communications or agency related field, with a minimum of two (2) years of supervision/leadership experience.
Required Software: Advanced working experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Vinmeo, Canva, WordPress, Emma and/or other email marketing platforms,
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Work Location: All work must be performed in the office. Consideration to work one (1) day remotely will be reviewed after six (6) months of employment with DCAC.
Mental and Physical Abilities: Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs.).
Working Conditions: Work may be performed but is not limited to an office environment.

Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Advancement to create, lead and manage all marketing, branding, communications, and public relations strategies to increase the awareness of DCAC’s mission, programs, and events in the community.
- Manage and monitor the Marketing Department’s annual budget, aligning expenditures with strategic priorities and ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
- Oversee the development, management, and approval of all print and electronic collateral, including website, social media, speeches, scripts, event materials, annual report, direct response, and other agency communication.
- Support the growth of the agency through collaboration with each department/program, solidifying brand identity, and promoting brand awareness across broadening key stakeholder audiences.
- Serve as liaison for all departments in the agency to ensure execution of all collateral needs and marketing assets, including adherence to brand standards, look and feel, etc.
- Facilitate production of advertising, news relationships, radio/television copy, brochures, newspaper articles, videos and other promotional materials.
- Work with the Director of Advancement on strategy and execution of all annual fundraising events, campaigns and donor acquisition and retention strategies to ensure team fundraising goals are met.
- Drive strategy and execution of all awareness and fundraising campaigns.
- Create and manage digital marketing calendar; oversee and drive all digital marketing endeavors to drive revenue and engagement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain agency brand standards and provides training to the organization (staff and board of trustees) to ensure consistency and effectiveness of brand communication.
- Work collaboratively with CAO, DOA and PR firm to ensure coverage surrounding DCAC programs, child abuse issues, special events, public announcements, and awareness/presence of DCAC in the community.
- Utilize data analytics from social media platforms and web traffic to increase audience engagement and expand brand awareness and fundraising.
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations and work products of the marketing and communications team align with DCAC’s overall marketing strategy and are legally compliant.
- Review and approve all external mass collateral and communications for DCAC departments.
- Provide support to CAO regarding strategic and crisis communications.
- Provide thorough and robust on-boarding and training for new hires and helps to acclimate them to the work environment and agency’s culture.
- Set expectations, goals, and objectives to ensure staff understand their duties and responsibilities.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Generate sustainable and manageable workloads and ensure tasks to align diverse marketing efforts and activities with the agency’s objectives.
- Work with staff to prepare goals and objectives for the year and submit annual performance evaluations.
- Disseminate agency information to team members and maintains an open line of communication for questions or concerns.
- Recognize staff developments and accomplishments and support professional development and growth.
- Partner with human resources and direct supervisor when workplace conflict arises and provides the leadership that enables team members to be productive and work together.
- Review, monitor, and approve employee’s PTO requests and web time sheets in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in monthly supervisor meetings.
- Attend and participate in agency staff meetings, special events, etc.
- Attend and participate in department and direct supervisory meetings.
- Attend DCAC events as well as third-party events, which may occur in the evening and some weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
