What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Assistant, Physical Operations position at Dallas Baptist University?
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
Assist the Director of Construction with project coordination, interior furnishings, furniture inventory management, office renovations, and campus signage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail oriented.
- Work well with people in order to complete projects.
- Able to follow through with a project to completion.
- Adept at handling multiple projects at one time.
- Able to schedule and coordinate work and deliveries to meet deadlines.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Director of Construction in all institutional construction operations on the DBU main campus.
- Assist the Director of Construction to maintain, schedule, and oversee the effecting use and operation of all DBU construction equipment.
- Assist the Director of Construction to maintain institutional compliance with all federal, state, and local laws governing construction and safety compliance.
- Assist the Director of Construction to maintain detailed records and plans on all remodel or construction projects.
- Assist the Director of Construction to Maintain financial records to ensure effective use of the allotted department and project funds.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Regular hours between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, but regularly flexible hours will be required.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
