Interim Controller
We are currently seeking candidates for an Interim Controller opportunity with a highly successful and growing SaaS organization offering 100% remote flexibility (*Must be located in ET time zone*). The Interim Controller will play a key role in managing core accounting functions and pre-IPO readiness efforts.
This is a 3 month contract position, paying between $85-$100/hour (depending on experience).

The Interim Controller will play a key role in managing core accounting functions and pre-IPO readiness efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, primarily in NetSuite.
- Implement and optimize accounting processes and internal controls to support Pre-IPO and PCAOB readiness.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards for leadership and potential investors.
- Drive Pre-IPO initiatives, including audit readiness, SOX implementation, and compliance with GAAP and PCAOB standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.
- Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Mentor and guide accounting team members, promoting best practices and process efficiency.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to scale finance and accounting operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 7-10 years of accounting and finance experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
- Proven hands-on controller experience, including strong experience with Pre-IPO or IPO preparation.
- Strong experience with NetSuite, including general ledger, reporting, and process automation.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and PCAOB compliance.
- Experience managing external audits and implementing SOX compliance programs.
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Salary : $85 - $100
