VP of Investor Relations - Venture Capital Firm in Boston (Fully Remote)
Our client, Boston-based venture capital firm with a growing platform, is expanding its investor relations function and is seeking a relationship-driven VP of IR to play a key role in capital formation and investor development.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investor relations or capital formation professional to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial investment firm and have meaningful ownership over fundraising initiatives, investor relationships, and the continued development of the firm’s capital formation strategy.
Requirements:
- Lead capital raising & investor development initiatives across private investment vehicles, including funds, fund-of-funds, SPVs, and secondary strategies
- Develop relationships with existing and prospective investors
- Partner with senior leadership and internal investment, compliance, platform, and investor relations teams on fundraising strategy and execution
- Develop investor segmentation, target investor strategies, outreach plans, and broader market positioning initiatives
- Support the development, structuring, and launch of new investment strategies and investment vehicles
- Identify and source prospective LPs through research, networking, conferences, referrals, and intermediary relationships
- Manage the fundraising pipeline and CRM
- Prepare investor presentations, meeting materials, due diligence responses
- Strengthen relationships with existing LPs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years experience in capital formation, investor relations, business development, or fundraising within investment management
- Experience working with family offices, UHNW individuals, and other private market investors preferred
- Background with an RIA, venture capital firm, private equity firm, or alternative asset manager
- Proven ability to develop and enhance fundraising and capital formation programs
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to establish credibility with investors
- Experience managing CRM systems
- Solid understanding of private market investment strategies, fund structures, and investor terms
$150K - 175K base salary dependent on experience
