Senior Property Accountant

A growing commercial real estate firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage property-level accounting, support property management operations, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. This hands-on role reports to the CFO with potential for growth into an Accounting Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank and escrow accounts, post journal entries, and maintain fixed asset records
- Track commissions, deferred leasing, and complex accounting transactions
- Support audits and year-end close processes
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and monthly property reviews
- Collaborate with property management and corporate teams
Qualifications
- 5–10 years in commercial real estate accounting, property-level experience required
- Proficiency with MRI Software and fixed asset systems
- Strong understanding of deferred leasing commissions, deferred financing fees, and complex journal entries
- Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
