IT Sourcing Manager - Boston, MA
We are seeking an experienced IT Sourcing Manager to join a highly successful financial services firm in Boston, MA. As a key member of the Strategic Sourcing team, this individual will serve as a subject matter expert across IT-related spend, with a primary focus on software, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions. The IT Sourcing Manager will lead complex sourcing initiatives, negotiate high-value technology agreements, and manage strategic vendor relationships while partnering closely with Legal, IT Security, Procurement, and business stakeholders. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that requires strong commercial acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver cost-saving opportunities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is a 6-month contract position that will pay $74-76/hour (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model in their Boston office.
Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution, including project scoping, commercial strategy, contract negotiations, and legal drafting.
Negotiate high-value technology agreements, driving favorable commercial terms and measurable cost savings.
Identify and execute strategic sourcing opportunities through contract renegotiations and vendor optimization initiatives.
Support global transactional sourcing teams with technology contract renewals exceeding $1M in annual value.
Draft and negotiate Master License Agreements, Cloud Agreements, and other technology-related contracts in partnership with Legal.
Collaborate with IT Security and Legal teams to negotiate security terms and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Develop, manage, and execute RFx processes and competitive sourcing events to optimize pricing, service, and vendor performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with global technology vendors and internal business stakeholders.
Apply procurement best practices across sourcing, vendor management, risk, information security, and accounts payable processes.
Navigate end-to-end procurement processes while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Partner cross-functionally to influence stakeholders, align sourcing strategies with business objectives, and deliver successful outcomes.
Prepare and present sourcing strategies, recommendations, and negotiation updates to senior leadership.
Ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance standards.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
8–10 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience with a strong focus on enterprise IT spend.
Demonstrated expertise sourcing software, cloud, cybersecurity, and other technology solutions.
Strong understanding of the global technology vendor landscape and enterprise procurement best practices.
Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and P&L impact through strategic sourcing initiatives.
Exceptional negotiation, commercial, and contract management skills.
Experience partnering effectively with Legal, IT Security, Finance, and business stakeholders.
Working knowledge of procurement, vendor risk management, information security, and accounts payable processes.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail.
