Event Coordinator - Financial Services - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an Event Coordinator position with a leading financial services firm located in Boston, MA. This role will be responsible for event planning, marketing communications, managing event budget, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of event planning and coordination experience within financial services.
This is a 12-month contract position that will pay $30-40/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:
- Support Program Managers in planning and executing events, including logistics, budget tracking, and sales communications
- Coordinate smaller industry conference deliverables such as booth setup, branded premiums, and event materials
- Manage event budgets, including processing invoices and working closely with AP to ensure timely payments
- Create and update presentations and documents using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Maintain clear, timely communication with internal stakeholders across marketing, sales, and operations teams
- Track deliverables and deadlines to ensure successful event execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in event marketing and/or marketing communications.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills; ability to manage competing deadlines and projects
- Experience in events and/or marketing, ideally within the financial services industry
- Comfortable managing budgets and collaborating with Accounts Payable on invoices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with CVENT or similar event management platforms
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Prior experience coordinating conference logistics, booth setups, or branded merchandise
