Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns.
- Repair air brake systems and other hydraulic components.
- Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery systems, including air brakes and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with OEM standards for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required.
