Job Title: Formica Production Line Administrator (Administrador de Línea de Producto – Formica)
Location: Dakota – El Paso Branch
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Position Summary
Dakota is seeking a dedicated, hard‑working, and detail‑oriented individual to oversee the ordering, sales, and inventory management of our Formica laminate product line at the El Paso branch. While administration of the Formica program is the primary responsibility, the ideal candidate will also support branch operations by assisting customers and fellow employees with sales and service needs.
This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, customer focus, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Formica Product Line Management
- Comprehensively manage the El Paso branch Formica laminate program
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Formica‑related activities at the branch
- Interface with Formica’s Business‑to‑Business (B2B) software for ordering, tracking, and product management
Purchasing & Receiving
- Order Formica product directly from the manufacturer using purchase orders (POs)
- Accurately receive all Formica inventory in a detailed and timely manner
- Ensure proper put‑away and organization of received materials
Inventory Control & Organization
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient Formica storage and display area
- Perform inventory control functions, including cycle counting
- Identify, monitor, and address excess, slow‑moving, or obsolete inventory through action plans
- Manage Formica returns, damaged product identification, and manufacturer claims
Sales & Customer Support
- Manage Formica sales directly to customers
- Support other El Paso sales team members with Formica product knowledge, pricing, and availability
- Assist with key customer opportunities, escalations, and product submissions
- Maintain and update Formica sample boards at the branch and customer locations
Market & Product Awareness
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive laminate offerings
- Provide feedback to management on product performance and customer demand
Branch Support & Teamwork
- Assist all branch employees by answering phones and helping customers as needed
- Support overall branch customer service and sales efforts
- Eventually develop the Formica program to a level that allows taking a significant role in managing Dakota’s Cabinet Hardware product line
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus)
- Experience in inventory management, purchasing, sales support, or distribution preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable working with computer systems, ERP/DMS platforms, and vendor software
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
