Position Overview:
D2 Government Solutions (D2GS) is seeking motivated Aircraft Mechanic Helpers to assist in the execution of F-22 Wash and Corrosion Control services at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. This entry-level role provides essential support to senior mechanics and is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a highly specialized aircraft maintenance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Aircraft Mechanic III personnel during F-22 wash, lubrication, and corrosion control operations.
- Prepare aircraft for servicing by installing protective covers, taping seams, and masking sensitive areas.
- Perform routine cleaning and washing tasks using TO-approved cleaning compounds.
- Provide ground support during towing operations, including serving as wing/tail walkers.
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment in support of senior mechanics.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while following FOD/DOP requirements.
- Document assistance tasks and ensure compliance with safety and quality control requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of general mechanical, maintenance, or related work preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Desire to grow within the aircraft maintenance career field.
