Entry-Level A&P Mechanic ARNE Aviation LLC Suffolk, Virginia
ARNE Aviation is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our growing team in Suffolk, Virginia.
Based in Suffolk, VA, ARNE Aviation is a Woman Owned Small Aviation Business conducting government and civilian contracts for cargo operations, paratroop training and civilian intentional parachute operations since 2015. A rapidly growing company, ARNE Aviation is currently on multiple five-year contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense to provide aviation support under both Part 91 and Part 135. We operate two Shorts SD3 Sherpa's, a Cessna C208 Super Caravan and a PAC 750XL.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly certified or recently experienced A&P Mechanic to start their aviation maintenance career with a respected local operation. You will work on a variety of Part 91 and Part 135 aircraft in a professional yet friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turboprop aircraft
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on airframes, engines, and components
- Assist with aircraft maintenance documentation and logbook entries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work both independently and collaboratively with our small, tight-knit maintenance team
What We’re Looking For
- Required:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a small team environment and independently
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn
- Must be a US Citizen or have the legal right to accept employment in the United States
- Must provide standard mechanic’s tools for own use
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be physically fit including the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in non-climate controlled environments
- Able to participate in short (3 days to 2 weeks) out-of-town work trips
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
- Preferred:
- Recent A&P school graduate or 1–2 years of practical experience
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking software
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
