PERSONAL CARE WORKER/HOME CARE AID/CNA/Caregiver
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The position of personal support worker consists of assisting clients with ADL’s according to each clients individual care plan. The assistance ranges from supervision to complete assistance.
TASKS/JOB DUTIES
· Assistance with activities of daily living
· Meal preparation & planning
· Personal care assistance: toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming
· Mobility
· Participation in indoor and outdoor activities
· Home Safety
· Transportation services: accompany to appointments, community activities, and shopping
· Light housekeeping
· Companionship
· Alzheimer & dementia support
· Medication reminders
· Observe mental & physical changes in client
· Pet care
· House management: coordination of home services
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required.
· Posses the ability to actively listen to clients and find appropriate solutions in situations
· Work well independently as well as with a care team
