Field Services Journeyman Electrician (Industrial Power)

Imagine starting your week on a new industrial site, collaborating with master electricians and project engineers, leading hands-on installs, and mentoring an apprentice while keeping safety at the center of everything. That’s a typical day for a Field Services Journeyman Electrician at D-Riven Engineered Solutions.

• Lead and execute electrical system installations, modifications, relocations, and removals to National Electrical Code standards and customer requirements.
• Champion site safety—uphold D-Riven procedures and comply with customer safety rules.
• Follow direction from master electricians and project engineers to complete high-quality work on time.
• Disassemble and reassemble power distribution equipment; replace defective or worn components.
• Perform and verify lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) before work begins.
• Develop task-level material lists and coordinate with purchasing.
• Source and stage tools and materials from internal stock and suppliers for efficient execution.
• Measure, cut, and bend EMT; thread rigid conduit; install cable tray and conduit runs.
• Field-fit and install Unistrut frames, hangers, and supports.
• Complete manual and mechanically assisted wire pulls and terminations.
• Trace and label power distribution and control wiring prior to equipment removal.
• Install and mount panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors.
• Mentor apprentices and verify the quality of their work.
• Maintain tools and equipment; keep supplies organized; clean work areas during and after use.
• Support other routine jobsite duties as directed by site management.

This is a 100% travel role. You will work on the road with a travel team nationwide, typically on assignments lasting 3–4 weeks at a time—and occasionally a couple of months. There may be breaks around holidays, but as a member of the travel team you’ll travel continuously.

• Starting pay: $31.00–$35.00 per hour (based on skillset and experience)
• Overtime: Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 in a week
• Per diem: $70.00 per day
• Mileage: $0.76 per mile when you drive your personal vehicle from home to the work site (not for daily trips from hotel to jobsite)
• Travel logistics: Company books and pays for flights, hotels, and rental cars in advance
• PTO: Accrue 120 hours annually (vacation, sick, personal) usable with Manager approval

• Aerial lifts and forklifts

• High school diploma or GED
• Electrical trade school and a valid Journeyman Electrician license
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, three-phase power, and industrial wiring methods
• Experience operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other powered equipment
• Reliable personal vehicle suitable for interstate travel
• Basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, and related essentials)
• Willingness and ability to travel full time (100%) nationwide

You’ll mentor apprentices, build field leadership skills, and collaborate closely with master electricians and project engineers across diverse industrial environments.
