Job Summary
The shop manager oversees all operations and personnel in a full service heavy truck and trailer maintenance facility located in Williamsport, MD. Reports to the Director of Maintenance, and has twenty five direct reports. This position is Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Define and create operational duties (OD) for personnel being supervised:
- Educate personnel in reference to understanding their OD.
- Evaluate each person's needs in reference to successfully fulfilling their OD’s.
- Implement a plan to provide each person with their needs to be successful.
- To hold each person accountable for their performance in reference to their OD.’s.
- To continue to measure and refine OD.’s and personal performance in reference to their customers changing needs.
- To define, measure and refine the process and system that are essential to meeting their customers needs:
- To provide and promote useful information to every person where by they may work to control cost within their OD
- To produce a profit with your shop through service to internal and external customers.
- To follow the company hand book and the Maintenance Policy any Procedure hand book.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
