Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator located in Lake Charles, and Sulphur, LA. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery, performing excavation tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient and precise execution of site preparation and construction activities. Responsibilities also include adhering to safety protocols, inspecting and reporting on equipment performance, and collaborating with team members to meet project goals.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Equipment Operation and handling of Heavy Equipment
- Experience in excavation and site preparation tasks
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and knowledge of identifying and resolving mechanical issues
- Ability to safely operate and inspect Used Equipment
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry
- Ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments and under various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is an advantage
- At least 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator in construction or a related field
