This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic located in Lake Charles, LA. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting system malfunctions to ensure peak operational performance. Additional duties include maintaining records of repairs and communicating with team members to ensure equipment readiness and safety.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair
- Solid understanding of Heavy Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic is highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are an advantage
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions
