Director of Marine & Recreation — Caribbean Luxury Resort
We are seeking an accomplished and service-driven leader to oversee all marine, water sports, and recreation operations for a premier luxury resort in the Caribbean.
This opportunity is also open to a qualified couple. Both individuals must possess professional experience in marine and adventure activities—including kayaking, paddleboarding, scuba diving, snorkeling, and boating—while delivering guest experiences consistent with 5-star and Forbes Travel Guide standards. Compensation will be adjusted accordingly for a couple of placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to captains, dive masters, and recreation teams.
- Oversee all marine operations, including vessel care, maintenance programs, and safety compliance.
- Manage and enhance scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and guided excursion offerings.
- Develop and refine recreation programming that elevates the overall guest experience.
- Ensure all activities meet or exceed luxury service benchmarks and Forbes Travel Guide expectations.
Candidate Profile
- 7–10 years of marine and adventure operations experience within luxury resort environments.
- Certified captain/skipper with a strong background in dive program oversight.
- Proven leadership capabilities with deep experience in safety management and risk mitigation.
- Strong commitment to guest satisfaction, marine stewardship, and outdoor recreation excellence.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: USD $100,000–$150,000, with adjustments for couple hires.
- 15% annual performance bonus tied to achievement of key performance indicators.
