DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPING

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director of Housekeeping for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, villas, public areas, and laundry, ensuring consistently exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and manage all Housekeeping operations to the highest luxury standards across rooms, villas, and public areas
- Develop, inspire, and manage a large housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and attention to detail
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management across the department
- Manage departmental budgets, linen and amenity inventory, and cost controls
- Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain and elevate standards
- Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and room readiness
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all areas
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across housekeeping processes and service delivery
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience as a Director of Housekeeping or Executive Housekeeper within a luxury hotel or resort
- Caribbean experience is preferred
- Remote island or resort experience is a strong advantage
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a diverse team
- Meticulous attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to luxury standards
- Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, linen management, and budget control
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic resort environment
