Responsibilities:
- Serve as a project lead designer. Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Work collaboratively with architects and engineers to develop and execute architectural design concepts, ensuring best practice design and code compliance
- Assist project teams in delivering projects from initial design through construction completion
- Produce and oversee the development of architectural design, construction and presentation drawings
- Serve as a project lead designer, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Assist with client interactions and maintain healthy relationships
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in architectural design
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture
- Must have experience managing at least one ground-up project from initial design through final construction completion
- Must have experience preparing construction documents and technical specifications
- Must have experience with design and construction detailing of building exteriors
- Experience conducting building condition assessments with strong technical writing skills
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (Structural, MEP, Civil, etc.)
- Working knowledge of NYS building and energy codes, ADA requirements, and other applicable standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Revit modelling and Excel is a plus
- Experience with municipal contracts is a plus
