Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Present menus, recommend dishes, and upsell specialty items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Handle food handling and sanitation procedures according to safety standards to maintain cleanliness and food quality
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, and current promotions to maximize sales opportunities
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining service or upscale restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest needs professionally
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Background in food industry standards such as food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, and supporting kitchen operations
- Familiarity with nightclub or hospitality settings is advantageous for dynamic service environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing
