POSITION 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Cyrus Peirce School RESPONSIBILITIES • Uses Responsive Classroom language and models expectations. • Implements modifications for curriculum and tasks as needed and provided by the teacher. • Works with ONE identified student in accordance with IEP service delivery. • Completes data collection regarding behaviors and academic progress as suggested by lead teacher. • Implementation of QBS protocols and procedures (including help, prompt, wait); and physical management when needed for students who are unsafe. • Present and/or reinforce learning concepts and lessons prepared by teachers, by adapting and reviewing material with a student one-to-one. • Reinforce classroom routine and expectations to promote positive behaviors. • Provide direct supervision to assigned student in class, in “specials”, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips. • Carry out therapeutic regimens, such as behavior modification and personal development programs, under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, or therapists • Help with feeding and other basic care, including toileting. • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees if and when required.

Salary : $31,583 - $42,550
