What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM & Learning Experience Designer position at Cypress HCM?
The Project Management & Learning Experience Designer contractor will support the development and execution of learning experiences. This role combines project coordination with instructional design support to ensure learning experiences are on time, on scope, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing timelines while also contributing to the design of engaging learning experiences.
Project Management
* Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication across stakeholders
* Develop and maintain project plans, status trackers, and reporting updates
* Schedule and facilitate project meetings, capturing action items and decisions
* Manage document version control and maintain project documentation
* Track progress against milestones and escalate risks or delays proactively
Learning Experience Design
* Assist with needs analysis and gathering of content from subject matter experts
* Draft storyboards, outlines, and course structures under direction
* Build or update training materials (presentations, guides, e-learning modules, job aids)
* Support quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with standards
* Apply basic learning design principles to enhance clarity and engagement
* Implement learning resources to the LMS
Development Program Support
* Schedule learning sessions, rotations, and speaker events
* Track participant assignments and rotational placements
* Coordinate with facilitators, mentors, and managers
Ability to gather requirements from SMEs and translate into learning objectives.
Storyboarding & Content Structuring - designing logical flow of courses, guides, or workshops.
Adult Learning Principles - applying instructional strategies that engage adult learners.
Content Development Tools - proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and (if applicable) authoring tools like Articulate, Captivate, Rise, or Canva.
Assessment Design - creating quizzes, reflection prompts, or activities that reinforce learning.
