6-Month Contract to Hire

Location: Remote (Preferably in the Eastern Timezone, specifically Cincinnati, OH)

Pay: $50-57/hr

Interview Process: 1 & done panel interview with hiring manager and team leaders

General Overview

The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business units and IT, translating business needs into clear requirements and conceptual designs that guide technology solutions. This role supports projects through all phases of the lifecycle, ensuring business objectives are understood, documented, and met.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
• Facilitate meetings between IT and business teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and data to support project objectives.
• Lead or participate in business process analysis to identify and define requirements.
• Collaborate with testing teams to ensure test cases align with requirements.
• Create documentation, reports, and support materials as needed.
• Contribute to the Business Analysis Center of Excellence and follow established best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to define needs for new or enhanced products, services, and processes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across teams.
  
  

Requirements

• 3 years of business analysis experience supporting medium-scale projects.
• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent business experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business modeling tools (process/workflow modeling).
• Experience writing test cases and test plans.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies preferred.
• Insurance industry experience a plus.
