Job Description:Responsible for performing precision mechanical inspections, visual inspections of electronic assemblies, first article inspections, and generating detailed reports. Supports supplier quality efforts through discrepancy reporting, source inspections, MRB participation, and routine supplier audits. Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.Responsibilities:Perform precision mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plates, height gages, gage blocks, gage pins, optical comparators, toolmakers microscopes, coordinate measuring machines, and other standard inspection equipment.Perform visual inspections of electronic assemblies using microscopes and magnifiers.Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports when required.Communicate discrepant findings verbally and through written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians.Independently perform source inspections at local suppliers.Participate in MRB meetings to support Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians.Accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures.Identify equipment needs for jobs requiring new or custom metrology tools.Identify Dock to Stock candidates per established procedures and present nominations to Supplier Quality Engineers.Work closely with buyers, planners, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and program leadership.Support Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians with routine supplier audits when required.Requirement/Must Have:High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of six years of relevant experience, or a post-secondary or associate degree with a minimum of two years of related experience.Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints.Proficiency with inspection tooling including gages, calipers, and micrometers.Ability to work in a team environment with engineers and technicians.Ability to work independently as needed.Self-motivated with strong initiative.Experience:Mechanical inspection experience.Experience performing visual inspections of electronic assemblies.Experience maintaining records and documentation according to procedures.Skills:Proficiency in mechanical measurement tools.Strong communication skills.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Strong attention to detail.Should Have:IPC-A-610 certification.Hexagon CMM certification with PC-DMIS software.Keyence vision system programming experience.Optical lens inspection experience.Qualification And Education:High School Diploma.IPC-A-610 certification preferred.
