Vice President of Finance

The Opportunity
We are building a next-generation cloud management and modernization platform that helps enterprises assess complex multi-cloud environments, migrate workloads efficiently, modernize critical applications, and optimize cloud operations through automation, machine learning, and real-time operational insights.
As we enter the next stage of growth, we are seeking a Vice President of Finance to build and scale a world-class finance organization capable of supporting a high-growth technology company.

This is a true build-the-function opportunity where finance serves as a strategic partner to the business. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, you will have visibility with the Board and play a key role in shaping company strategy.
You will establish the financial infrastructure, systems, processes, and team required to support rapid growth while serving as a trusted advisor on pricing, partnerships, fundraising, M&A, and long-term business planning.
What You Will Own
1. FP&A and Business Insight
- Build and lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and operational reporting.
- Own key SaaS performance metrics including ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, payback period, retention, and unit economics.
- Develop financial models and segmentation analyses that guide investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering leaders to drive informed business decisions.
2. Accounting, Controls, and Compliance
- Build scalable accounting operations including monthly close processes, internal controls, audit readiness, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Manage the complete order-to-cash cycle, including billing, collections, cash application, and forecasting.
- Develop reporting frameworks for leadership, Board members, investors, and future audit requirements.
3. Treasury, Cash, and Capital Management
- Lead cash management, liquidity planning, and runway forecasting.
- Support fundraising activities including investor presentations, due diligence, financial modeling, and term sheet evaluation.
- Manage banking relationships and credit facilities.
4. Financial Systems and AI-Enabled Finance
- Design and implement a scalable financial technology stack, including ERP, FP&A, billing, expense management, and equity management systems.
- Develop AI-enhanced finance workflows for forecasting, close acceleration, anomaly detection, spend analysis, contract review, and operational reporting.
- Establish governance policies around AI usage, validation, and human oversight.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve finance operations.
5. Strategic Partnership and Executive Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Lead financial analysis related to pricing strategy, partnerships, acquisitions, and major investments.
- Present financial results and strategic recommendations to the Board.
- Translate business objectives into actionable financial plans and models.

Qualifications
Required
- Experience building or significantly scaling a finance function within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company.
- Strong expertise in both accounting and FP&A.
- Proven success leading and developing finance teams.
- Experience implementing and managing scalable financial systems (ERP, FP&A, billing, and equity management platforms).
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics including ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, retention, and unit economics.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in high-growth, evolving environments.
Preferred
- CPA and/or MBA.
- Experience supporting fundraising initiatives, venture financing, or M&A transactions.
- Experience preparing organizations for audits and increased financial controls maturity.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools and modern finance technology ecosystems.
