POSITION SUMMARY: The Benefits and Compensation Manager is responsible for streamlining and optimizing the organization's health, welfare, compensation, and retirement programs. This role requires a working knowledge of all functional areas, with direct, hands-on involvement in managing pay and benefits structures, and backing up for the Team as needed. The Benefits and Compensation Manager is expected to work alongside the Benefits Team rather than strictly in an oversight role, contributing directly to tactical responsibilities while also providing guidance, bringing fresh ideas, and driving improvements across their functional scope.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Daily in person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
- Operates as a working manager with direct, hands-on involvement in all functional areas rather than a strictly supervisory capacity.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, and other formulas and other analytic tools. Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; knowledge/experience with HRIS required, Paycom preferred.
- Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations. Strong technical knowledge of the laws and regulations that affect the compensation of employees and understanding of how to calculate and interpret employee data to ensure employees are paid equitably.
- Ability to define and articulate the thought processes behind recommendations and be capable of influencing key stakeholders while absorbing other points of view.
- Must be self-starter and collaborative leader with ability to take projects from start to finish.
- Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Advanced expertise in US employment laws, including federal and state regulations, STD, LTD, state-paid disability programs, workers' compensation, and accommodations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Management strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- SHRM or HRCI certification desired.
- 8 years of Benefits and Compensation Management or Total Rewards experience required.
- Paycom experience a plus.
