Key Responsibilities
- Operate tugboats to assist in docking and undocking ships and barges.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and safety procedures.
- Lead and train crew members in safe vessel operations and emergency response protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical checks on tugboat equipment.
- Communicate effectively with vessel crews and port authorities during operations.
- Assess weather conditions and interpret charts to plan safe navigation routes.
- Supervise towing operations and ensure the secure attachment of tow lines.
