Sr. Counsel Toxic Tort Defense Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Counsel to join our legal team, focusing on toxic tort defense. The ideal candidate will manage complex litigation cases, provide strategic legal counsel, and represent our clients in various legal proceedings, ensuring their interests are effectively protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee toxic tort defense litigation cases from inception to resolution.
- Represent clients in court, including jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration proceedings.
- Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
- Develop legal strategies and provide counsel on risk assessment and mitigation.
- Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes effectively to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Research legal issues and prepare legal documents, including briefs and motions.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive legal support.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Barred and reside in CA
- 7 years of experience in toxic tort defense or related fields.
- Proven trial experience, including first chair responsibilities in jury and bench trials.
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough depositions and prepare witnesses for court.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
