Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the shipping processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. This role is essential in supporting our operations by maintaining records and communicating with carriers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documents including packing slips and bills of lading.
- Coordinate shipments with various carriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and track shipments to provide accurate updates to customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist in the preparation of invoices and shipping reports as required.
- Collaborate with the production team to align shipping schedules with manufacturing outputs.
- Resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues that may arise during transit.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Epicor, and WMS.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with carriers and internal departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
