Our client, a well-established industrial contractor in the Central Valley, is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This is a high-impact role with the potential to lead the Estimating department in the near future. You'll be responsible for managing complex estimates, preparing detailed proposals, and collaborating across departments to ensure successful project execution.

About The Role
Our client, a well-established industrial contractor in the Central Valley, is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This is a high-impact role with the potential to lead the Estimating department in the near future. You'll be responsible for managing complex estimates, preparing detailed proposals, and collaborating across departments to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating process for industrial construction projects (mechanical, piping, structural, etc.)
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and historical data to prepare accurate labor, material, and equipment estimates
- Present and refine proposals, including win strategies and value differentiators
- Collaborate with project managers, purchasing, and business development to optimize cost and execution
- Support post-award handoffs and monitor project performance for continuous improvement
- Identify new project opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
- 7 years of estimating experience in industrial or mechanical construction (heavy civil, process plants, piping, etc.)
- Strong blueprint/spec reading and quantity takeoff skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (HeavyBid, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Associate degree with strong experience also considered)
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or OSHA 10/30 certification
- Field experience in industrial construction
- Familiarity with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project
