The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading HVAC projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial projects.
- Utilize Revit and other design software to create detailed HVAC layouts and specifications.
- Conduct load calculations and energy modeling to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other MEP professionals to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Review and approve technical drawings and documents to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafting staff.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and present design concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in Revit and other HVAC design software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, energy efficiency, and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
