This person will work with other members the department to developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in estimating and construction to ensure project profitability and support the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications.
- Conduct thorough takeoffs to determine required materials and quantities.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers during the preconstruction phase to define project scope and requirements.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and accuracy.
- Utilize software such as Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, and On-Screen Take Off to enhance estimation efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating for a general contractor on commercial such as healthcare, multifamily, and educational.
- Proficient in construction estimating software
