Position Overview

The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost analysis and bid preparation for various sectors including healthcare, commercial, government, and educational projects. This role requires strong project management and construction management skills to effectively evaluate project specifications and deliver reliable cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for construction projects across various sectors.
• Perform detailed cost analysis, including quantity takeoff and risk assessment.
• Prepare and present bids to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
• Conduct value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs and provide updates to management as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating for construction projects.
• Proficiency in cost analysis and project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices and principles, particularly in low voltage and electrical systems.
• Experience with healthcare, commercial, government, institutional, and educational projects is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
