Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating electrical costs for various construction projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. This role involves collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders during the preconstruction phase and providing expert insights to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for industrial construction projects
- Review project plans and specifications to identify and quantify electrical materials and labor needed
- Utilize Accubid and other estimation software to create accurate project estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Conduct takeoffs from plans and specifications to determine material quantities and labor costs
- Lead preconstruction meetings to discuss estimates and provide technical expertise
- Analyze historical data to improve estimating processes and accuracy
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry
- Proven experience with Accubid or similar estimating software
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
