This role requires strong project management and construction management skills to effectively evaluate project specifications and deliver reliable cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating process for construction projects across various sectors.
- Perform detailed cost analysis, including quantity takeoff and risk assessment.
- Prepare and present bids to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Conduct value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to management as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating for construction projects.
- Proficiency in cost analysis and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and principles, particularly in low voltage and electrical systems.
- Experience with healthcare, commercial, government, institutional, and educational projects is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Salary 140-170k (based on experience)
