Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, analyzing specifications, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project execution. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of estimating principles and methodologies, particularly in electrical and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates for various projects
- Review project specifications and drawings to understand requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information
- Conduct market research to determine appropriate pricing and costs
- Monitor project budgets and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Assess risk factors and prepare contingency estimates as necessary
- Utilize software tools for estimating and project management
- Present estimates to management and clients, explaining methodologies used
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in electrical or renewable energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of estimation software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and AutoCAD is a plus
- Familiarity with Power Systems, Control Systems, and Electrical Circuit Analysis is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
