Senior Electrical Estimator

Location: In-office in Brea, CA

Salary Range: Roughly $145,000 - $165,000

Position Overview

We are a reputable and established Electrical Construction Contractor seeking a seasoned, Senior-level Electrical Estimator with experience on $10m electrical construction projects to join our team! We have a strong track record of winning and successfully delivering large-scale commercial projects in several sectors, including industrial, commercial, public works, healthcare, and education projects (among others!). You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines while maximizing profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical construction processes and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify all necessary materials and labor requirements.
• Analyze bid documents and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing.
• Assess project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them during the bidding process.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
• Develop and maintain a database of costs for labor, materials, and equipment for future reference.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with the project scope and objectives.
• Provide support during the bidding process and assist with contractor selection.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry -- including on large projects over $10m.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and techniques.
• Experience with commercial and/or public works projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Accubid or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
