Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: based anywhere in US! remote with 50-75% travel

Position Overview

We are a stable and thriving electric utility automation solutions provider with multiple corporate facilities serving clients nationwide. Due to our continued growth we are currently seeking highly skilled Technical Sales Engineers to support our delivery team and drive the growth of our electric utility solutions. This role involves providing technical expertise to customers, understanding their needs, and demonstrating how our products and services can meet those needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of our products to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategic sales plans and proposals.
• Support the implementation of SCADA and utility automation projects in substations.
• Provide training and support to customers on technical aspects of products and solutions.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote our products and services.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in Technical Sales/Sales Engineering within the electric utility industry/utility automation/substation space.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC-61850).
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and networking concepts with programming experience in either Python or C/C .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to translate complex technical information to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to travel as required (at least 50%) for client engagements and trade shows. Travel demands sometimes come with just 1-2 day's notice.
