The ideal candidate combines roofing industry knowledge with strong sales and account management skills to consistently meet revenue targets and build long-term customer trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new leads through door-to-door canvassing, referrals, networking, and local marketing initiatives.
- Conduct thorough on-site roof inspections to assess damage, identify solutions, and determine scope of work.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals using company pricing and product knowledge.
- Deliver professional sales presentations and product demonstrations to homeowners and property managers.
- Close sales and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and conversion targets.
- Manage customer accounts from initial contact through project completion, ensuring timely communication and high satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, estimates, and contracts in the company CRM.
- Coordinate with project managers, installers, and permitting authorities to schedule work and resolve field issues.
- Provide after-sales support, including warranty follow-ups and handling any customer concerns.
- Stay current on roofing products, installation methods, industry standards, and competitor offerings to inform sales strategies.
- Proven experience in roofing sales or related construction sales role; door-to-door sales experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated account management skills and a track record of building long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable performing on-site roof assessments and explaining technical information to customers.
- Familiarity with roofing materials, common repair and replacement processes, and industry terminology.
- Proficiency with CRM software and mobile estimating tools; basic computer skills required.
- Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally for sales calls and inspections.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or construction-related training a plus.
