Quality Director - FOOD Manufacturing (MULTI SITE)
*MUST BE NEAR AN AIRPORT*(50% travel 50% Remote).
Position Overview
The Quality Director for Food Manufacturing will oversee the quality assurance and control processes across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with FDA and USDA regulations. This role aims to implement best practices in quality management and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization, particularly in the frozen food sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures across all manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with FDA and USDA regulations in all food production processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of quality managers and inspectors across multiple facilities.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess product quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and reduce waste using Lean methodologies.
- Manage and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop training programs for staff on quality standards and practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues and concerns with customers and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Experience managing quality in multi-site operations.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
