Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and multi-family projects. The Project Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining quality and client satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to coordinate trade contractors and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily on-site construction activities, providing leadership to craft labor and subcontractors to meet schedule, quality, and safety goals.
• Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs and OSHA 30 best practices; conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to develop and maintain accurate schedules and sequencing plans.
• Manage quality control by inspecting work, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes for industrial, healthcare, and multi-family projects.
• Monitor and report project progress, productivity, and manpower; prepare daily reports, RFIs, submittal status, and site documentation.
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly, including coordinating change orders, field orders, and direction with the project team.
• Oversee material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment utilization to optimize workflow and minimize delays.
• Mentor and develop foremen and crew, promoting best practices in construction techniques, safety, and teamwork.
• Assist in project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, owner walkthroughs, and turnover procedures.
• Maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships through regular communication, site visits, and responsiveness to concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on superintendent experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, or multi-family construction projects; experience leading large site teams preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, quality assurance, and site logistics.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications a plus.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills with a focus on accountability and results.
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to meet project milestones and budgetary goals.
• Proficient with construction management software, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or Procore), and common office applications.
• Valid drivers license; ability to travel to project sites as required and work extended hours when needed.
