We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer specializing in Water Resources to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and managing water resource projects, including stormwater management and drainage systems, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete minor CIP/drainage projects simultaneously.
- Design and produce civil engineering construction documents (utility plans, site plans, design reports, specifications).
- Develop exhibits that incorporate both existing and proposed land use data and drainage area information using GIS software.
- Design and prepare construction plans for storm drainage projects.
- Stormwater control measure design.
- Gutter spread calculations and analysis, pipe video assessment and analysis, and delineate watersheds and prepare time of concentration calculations.
- Site grading, earthworks, and sediment/erosion control design and permitting.
- Coordinate with contractors, utility representatives, property owners, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate concepts to property owners and stakeholders across various roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- 5 years of related experience or training.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with software such as StormCAD, Flowmaster, HY8, Culvertmaster, and HydroCAD preferred.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
