Job Title: Litigation Associate
Location: Boston, MA
Salary Rate: $120,000 - $180,000

What You Will Do

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trials
• Draft and review complaints, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to client objectives
• Manage discovery, including depositions, document review, and expert coordination
• Appear in state and federal courts for hearings, conferences, and trial proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and guide decision-making
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression
• Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars

Required Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts
• 4 years of litigation experience (commercial, general liability, employment, or related areas)
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts court rules, procedures, and litigation practices
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong negotiation and client communication abilities
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
