Position Overview
The Wastewater Technician is responsible for overseeing wastewater treatment operations and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, managing daily operations, and maintaining optimal functionality of wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train wastewater treatment staff to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
• Monitor and analyze wastewater treatment processes to maintain compliance with ADEQ standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Prepare and submit reports on wastewater treatment operations, including compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Implement safety protocols and training for staff to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
• Must possess ADEQ certification for wastewater treatment.
• Grade 3/4 certification in wastewater treatment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and wastewater treatment processes.
