Position Overview

The Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring that all metal fabrication projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. The manager will lead a team of fabricators and welders, coordinate production schedules, and maintain inventory and equipment to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the fabrication shop, including scheduling and workflow management.
• Supervise and lead a team of fabricators and welders to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
• Develop and implement shop policies and procedures to improve safety and productivity.
• Coordinate with project managers and customers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to maintain production continuity.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and the shop to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to shop staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in metal fabrication, specifically with miscellaneous metals.
• Strong management skills with a track record of leading a production team.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with shop safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
