Job Title: Estimator
Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Base Salary: $100K-$140K
Requirements: 5 years of civil estimating experience preferably on industrial, marine, commercial or municipal projects. 

Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, including industrial, marine, and civil engineering tasks. This role involves analyzing project specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, and collaborating with project managers to ensure competitive and comprehensive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing for various construction elements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Utilize software tools such as HCSS and HeavyBid to streamline the estimating process.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure the best pricing options are considered.
• Maintain a database of historical costs for reference in future estimates.
• Provide support during bid preparation and submission phases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator in heavy civil construction, particularly in industrial and marine projects.
• Proficient in HCSS, HeavyBid, and other relevant estimating software tools.
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, and utilities relevant to civil construction.
