Estimating Manager

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for precision and efficiency? One of my clients is seeking an Estimating Manager to provide corporate estimating support across multiple districts. In this role, you'll lead a team of estimators and assistant estimators, ensuring accurate cost projections and resource planning for diverse construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of estimators and assistant estimators.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and determine initial production rates.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to define work requirements.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor bids for fairness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with project managers to maintain schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Estimate material costs and labor hours for all project scopes.
• Develop initial resource requirements and establish preliminary project schedules.
• Implement best practices for cost control and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, bids, and correspondence.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience.
• 10 years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering, with at least 4 years in estimating for facility construction.
• Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control systems.
• Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate complex projects.
