Electrical Engineer - Industrial Automation and Controls (Relocation Available)
Location: Midwest (Onsite, 1st Shift)
Compensation: 70K - 95K Base Relocation Support

What You Will Be Doing
You will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving electrical and automation systems:
- Lead electrical and automation projects from concept through completion
- Program, troubleshoot, and modify Allen Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
- Support HMI and SCADA systems and industrial communication networks
- Analyze and interpret wiring diagrams, circuit designs, and electrical drawings
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems, motors, drives, and automation equipment
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve system performance
- Oversee contractors and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Support equipment startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA70E standards
- Assist with power distribution systems and industrial electrical infrastructure
- Support steam boiler and related automation systems where applicable
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for engineers who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a real-world industrial setting.
Core qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in industrial electrical or automation environments
- Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with motor controls, VFDs, and industrial control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA70E)
Nice to have:
- Experience with HMI or SCADA systems
- Exposure to industrial networks and communication protocols
- Experience working with boilers, steam systems, or heavy industrial equipment
