Overview
An established construction firm is seeking a detail oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. This role supports the preconstruction process and works closely with senior estimators and project managers to ensure complete and well scoped bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new estimates and perform quantity takeoffs
• Participate in pre bid site visits and document findings
• Review drawings and specifications for conflicts or gaps
• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Assist management with estimate development and strategy
• Prepare bid forms, summaries, alternates, and supporting documents
• Track and incorporate addenda into pending bids
• Review subcontractor scopes prior to inclusion in final bids
• Assist with last minute pricing adjustments and coverage resolution
• Maintain historical estimating data, unit pricing, and bid files

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain subcontractor and supplier lists
• Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers during bidding
• Coordinate with project managers on cost updates and field feedback
• Assist with schedules, drawings, and preconstruction planning

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Prior estimating experience preferred

Compensation

• Salary range of 75000 to 120000 per year
• Full benefits package
